Indian President has commuted the death sentences of 35 killers and rapists. Her decision has heated debate. Many of the convicts were killers and rapists. It appears that this clemency decision was taken in haste. It also brought light to a horrible mistake committed by president’s staff.

One of the convicts who was granted clemency had died five years ago. This shows that president’s staff’s negligence. Mr. Tidke died on October 18, 2007 because of aids.
